Online Lessons

Every golfer wants to improve, but golfers differ on how to improve.  While there are over 26 million golfers in the US, only a small percentage seek advice from professionals like you.  At the 10thGreen.com we are looking to expand the market for professional instruction by removing two significant barriers, time and money.

1. Time:  For many golfers the demands of work and family life leave them with just enough time to play golf, not to practice or take instruction.  Online instruction provides these players the ability to make progress in the short amount of time that they have.
2. Money:  Despite the benefits of taking lessons; many golfers are unwilling to pay the cost of private instruction. 

Players have access now to an abundance of content on the golf swing through the web, magazines, books and other media, but are they actually improving.  Statistics say that on average golfers aren't improving.  The average handicap hasn't significantly dropped since the 70's. 

One reason is there are a larger number of players, not receiving personalize instruction.  One often overlooked benefits of private instruction is that a player is told all the things not to think about.  With an abundance of content available, players are overloaded with material and lack the knowledge to know what is right for them.  That’s where online instruction comes in, that's where you come in.

Online Instruction is basically a scaled down version of a regular lesson.  Done on your own time in less than 15 minutes, it provides a cost and convenience benefit significant enough to bring in a whole new wave of golfers to private instruction

Online Coaching Overview

As an online coach, you provide personalized golf analysis for customer's all over the world.
Here's how it works:

1. Golfer uploads video to 10thgreen.com for your analysis.  Depending on what they are looking for, video could be of their full swing, pitching/chipping, putting stroke, etc.  Videos are no longer than 1 minute.
   
   
2. You are notified via email and 10thgreen private message of your pending analysis.
   
   
3. You log into 10thgreen.com, go to the lesson tracker in the 'Online Coaches' page, or follow the link in your private message to locate the uploaded video for review. Watch video and complete your anaysis on the form provided. Your total time reviewing and providing analysis should not exceed 15 minutes.
   
   
4. Click submit and you're done! 
                                                                           

The following steps are necessary to become an online lesson coach.  Process takes around 20 minutes to complete. Click on any of the highlighted sections to complete them.                 

• Register with the 10thGreen.com to create an account.

• Complete an Application on the 'Apply Now' tab so we can verify you as a qualified instructor. 

• After completing the registration process, complete your profile so we can list you in the “Find a Coach” database. This information includes your biography, a link to your course and other information you want the public to see. When completing your profile, be sure to read and confirm that you have read and agree to follow our minimum standards for coaches.  Please read and click on the box to confirm

• If you do not currently have a Pay Pal account, you will need to create one. This account is where your commissions are deposited. 

• Once you have submitted your profile and have created your Pay Pal account, we recommend you view a sample analysis form to understand how the form should be completed.

• We also recommend you take a few minutes to view a sample uploaded swing to familiarize yourself with the process of submitting a sample analysis.  We have provided you with two sample swings to evaluate.

You're done!  Now it's our job to bring customers to you.  Of course you can bring them to the site too and we offer $10 referral fees for each new premium member you sign up.  Click on the benefits tab for more information.

Meet the players behind The 10th Green

Dustin Schmidt - Founder/President

After turning professional at 19, Dusty won several mini tour events and was leading money winner on the Golden State Tour when a heart attack at 23 forced an end to his career. Dusty then turned his attention toward professional poker and in just three years, established himself as one of the top internet players in the world. Using poker to raise capital, Dusty eyes his next career as an entrepreneur. The 10th Green.com is his first major project.

Rob Wise - Co Founder/CEO

Rob Wise has 20 years experience in video production, marketing and planning.
Partnering with Dusty on the web page concept and managing the project, also with occasional breaks of golf, he brings his corporate experience in sales and his love of a challenge together to see this project to fruition.

Casey Martin

PGA Tour veteran, former NCAA Champion and admired by all those who know his story. Casey has played professionally since 1998 and earned his PGA Tour card in 2000. Career highlights include his performance at the 1998 U.S. Open, where, after qualifying individually, he finished in a tie for 23rd. Although still active in selected professional golf tournaments around the country, Martin now focuses on coaching. In addition to sharing his expertise on the 10thGreen.com, Casey is the head coach for the University of Oregon men's golf team.

Jared Tendler - COO/Mental Game Coach

Jared Tendler, MS, LMHC, is an expert in golf psychology who forged a unique perspective on the mental side of golf through collegiate playing experience and a Master's education in counseling psychology. Having worked with golfers for three years, his practical and straightforward approach is proven successful with golfers of all ability, from tournament professionals to beginners.

Mike Lavery

Mike turned professional late in 2003 after finishing a stellar college career at UC-Irvine with a victory at the Big West Conference Championship. Now having competed on the NGA Hooters Tour since 2004, Mike has consistently improved year over year and has been close to winning with two top 3 finishes. His goal is to one day be ranked among the top players in the world and live out the dream he's had since first picking up a club.
